Łukasz
Olszewski

I have been a physiotherapist since 1992 as a physiotherapy technician, and since 1997 as a master of physiotherapy. I graduated from the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice. In the meantime, I also graduated from the Faculty of Management at the Warsaw School of Economics and the Pedagogical Preparation at UNS in Łódź.

For as long as I can remember, I have been attracted to sports and medicine. Not all of my professional career is related to physiotherapy, I also gained experience working as a medical representative and product manager in medical companies related to orthopedics, in particular sports medicine, spine surgery and hip and knee arthroplasty, which involved participation in surgeries and many hours spent in the operating rooms of many hospitals.

I gained professional experience as a physiotherapist at the Military Institute of Aviation Medicine in Warsaw, the already mentioned medical companies (such as Arthrex, Johnson&Johnson and Stryker), the Damian Medical Center where
I managed a team of 50 physiotherapists, the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw and developing a private practice, which culminated in the creation of my own office. In addition to this activity, I have been a massage teacher in post-secondary Warsaw Medical
School for several years

After finishing my corporate career, returning to the profession of physiotherapist, I understood how much the world of physiotherapy had changed during my absence. Only supplementary training was able to level up my level. During many of them I came across
the concept and philosophy of thinking about pathologies created by Radek, which became a "game changer" in my thinking about physiotherapy, but not only the concept itself, but above all the people I met on my "spała path" stole my
heart, and so I stayed.

As part of FRSc, you can meet me:

  • on the last module of Manual Medicine, where I co-lead difficult states,
  • "Radiology in the physiotherapist's workshop" - this course was created from the observation of how much physiotherapists miss the ability to read imaging tests, often crucial for the correct assessment and effective therapy

Privately:

  • I have two cats, two dogs, a wife (one) and a son. I live in Legionowo near Warsaw.
  • Sharing my experience and knowledge gives me great joy.
  • Life motto: "To be strong to be useful"
